Cyber Bullying – The Pot Calling The Kettle Black

I wrote this in response to this post. I thought it sounded pretty good so I wanted to share it with you all.

Jealous much? I admit, I don’t know you and I have never read anything you have written except for this post, which is actually laughable. Am I here to defend Jason? Nope. He’s a big boy and he can defend himself. The reason I am commenting is because I think this post is ludicrous, mainly because all the shit that went down with that dude from the wine site was, in blog years, a long time ago. Let it go, get a life and write posts that people may actually be interested in reading.

I also find it hypocritical of you to use his name and blog to garner readers, knowing full well that he has an enormous following. You figure that if you start a blog war with Jason it will bring you more attention and push your readership up.

I find it extremely pathetic that you would go so far as to bring his personal life into it as well. Why even mention his wife in a post that you write. That subject is sacred ground for anyone. You just don’t bring a persons family into a pithy disagreement that you’re having on a social website, that’s just bad form and unnecessary.

I also find it distasteful in the extreme to bring up or make assumptions about a persons mental health. I, like millions of others, have severe Panic and Anxiety disorder. I don’t know if Jason has any issues or not but if in fact he does, I would think support would be a much better avenue to take than harassment and, as you so eloquently put it, “Cyber Bullying”.

You may be wondering who I am and why I am even bothering to write this comment. Well, let me introduce myself. I’m The Hillbilly Blogger, I have several blogs on WordPress and my own self hosted WordPress Blog. Why am I writing this comment? Because I have been on WordPress for a long time, albeit with different blogs, but never the less, at least 7 years or more. I have seen many blogs come and go and I have known many bloggers over the years, most of which gave up a long time ago and closed up shop and moved on.

I’m writing this comment to provide another opinion, one that differs from yours and your lackeys that seem to blindly agree with everything you write. Also, because I think of Jason as a friend and fellow blogger.

It’s really very simple. If you don’t like what Jason writes, how he writes, his subject matter and the way he gains followers, just ignore him and any other bloggers you find distasteful. If you don’t like what he writes, don’t read it. It’s not rocket science, it’s just a matter of simply clicking on the Block link, problem solved.

There’s no need to go around bashing other bloggers and digging up old issues and basically stirring the shit barrel simply because you can. If that’s the best you can do, then my suggestion is to give up on blogging altogether and find something else to occupy your time.
