I’ve put all of my projects on the back burner for the foreseeable future except this blog and a new one I just started. The new one is an opinion blog, my opinion, about world events and what I believe is coming, soon. I didn’t want to mix it in with THB because they are two totally different formats. The following is the About Me page on that blog. I thought you might like to read it too. It sums me up pretty well I think.
I’m just your average, everyday American, trying to get through life the best way I know how. I live in the country where there are hills and hollers, mountains and creeks. Life is slower here, more laid back and less tumultuous than in a city or suburban area.
I was raised with morals, beliefs and a sense of responsibility toward my neighbor and fellow man. I was taught respect and manners, about honesty and forgiveness. A sense of pride was instilled in me from a very early age. It was given to me to stand up for myself and what I believe in. I learned the difference between good and bad, right and wrong, heaven and hell.
Throughout life, I have learned, most times the hard way, that nobody gives you anything. You work hard for what you need and want, stand up against injustice, respect the law and to live your life and keep your nose out of everybody else’s business.
I also learned to love those around me as much as I can, because they won’t be here forever. To never take for granted a kind and loving heart or an honest friend. I’ve also learned who my real friends are, for not everyone you think as such actually is.
I read a lot and think even more. I watch my surroundings and what is going on in my world and the world around me. I don’t believe everything I read or hear. I am not gullible and not fooled easily. I pay attention to what is said to me and I watch.
I don’t say a lot, but when I do start to speak, it is from a well informed standpoint, either from study and observation or direct personal experience. I am man enough to say I’m wrong and I’m sorry if that’s the case, I expect the same from those I associate with.
There is much more to me and who I am and what makes me who I am. You have the simple basics and enough to go on for the purposes of this blog.
Thanks for reading.
